Jersey Heritage (JH) Members can hone their photographic skills and take part in a wildlife photography workshop at Hamptonne
- 6 July 2023
- Hamptonne Country Life Museum
To celebrate the NEW Wildlife Photography Exhibition at Hamptonne Country Life Museum, which is opening this summer, JH Members are invited to hone their photographic skills and take part in a wildlife photography workshop.
This workshop is aimed at JH Members who have a foundational understanding of photography and own a DSLR or point-and-shoot camera. Amateur local photographer Jenny Cabot will give top tips to JH Members on the process of taking close up 'macro' photographs. Using your DSLR or point-and-shoot camera, capture the landscape and nature of Hamptonne, developing your photographic skills and camera knowledge.
JH Members will gather a greater understanding of which camera settings create clear sharp shots and what equipment to use when photographing outdoor subjects – including lenses, flash, tripods, diffusers and extension tubes.
Workshop from 10.30am until 12 noon.
Areas of discussion and practice during the workshop will include:
- Knowing your camera
- Depth of field
- Modes for fast moving and still subjects
- White balance
- Weather and the challenges faced in macro photography
- Good and bad shots, what could possibly go wrong?!
Take a morning to enjoy the art of macro photography, practice your patience and hone your camera skills in the beautiful surroundings of Hamptonne Country Life Museum.
The workshop has space for a maximum of 20 JH Members so reserve your free ticket here.
