11am to 12pm

Les Chaboleurs ("the shufflers") celebrate the folk dances of Jersey and Normandy, keeping alive customs that would once have been enjoyed at countryside gatherings and local festivals.

Harvest time has always been a season of coming together, and dancing played an important role in rural celebrations. This relaxed and welcoming FREE one-hour workshop offers Adult Jersey Heritage Members the chance to learn a selection of traditional dances. Whether you've danced before or are curious to try something new as a complete beginner, this session is designed for everyone.

No dancing skills are required – just a desire to share Jersey's local traditions and an enthusiasm to have a go! Les Chaboleurs are an open and welcoming group where the emphasis is on enjoyment, participation and community spirit rather than perfect technique.

What to expect
•Learn traditional Jersey and Norman dances
•Friendly instruction from members of Les Chaboleurs
•A relaxed, sociable atmosphere
•No previous dance experience needed
•An enjoyable way to connect with local heritage and culture

Places are limited, so early booking is recommended (see below to reserve your place).
We look forward to welcoming you for a morning of music, movement and traditional Jersey culture.
