    Marc McCarty, Glass blowing Jersey

    4 October to 29 October

Marc is the only glass-blower in the Channel Islands – he makes bespoke hand-blown vessels, sculpture and lighting components.
He runs a small studio at the Devil’s Hole, St John, which is open to the public. There he enjoys demonstrating techniques to visitors, particularly blowing big glass bubbles for children.

Marc gained a BA Hons degree at Wolverhampton university in hot glass design and sculpture in 2003, after which he won a scholarship to Seattle’s Pilchuck Glass School.
Marc explains that his work ‘is inspired by the idea of, “dark at the bottom and light at the top” which I see as a metaphor for, life and death, earth and sky, hot and cold.
Hot glass making is a passion that will last me a lifetime.’

    Paysages – My landscapes

    By Anna Le Moine Gray

    3 November to 28 November

“Your work will be to show others what you have seen.”

(Philippe Lejeune – Letters to a Young Painter)

For the last six years, Anna has been sketching every morning as the sun rises over the cliffs around her home in Jersey and in West Finistère.

After an enforced break, she went back to my canvases with eagerness and joy.

“Truth is the elements taken in all their wild vigour, the wind that buffets the skin, the dazzling sun, the storms (…) to experience those is also to grasp a primitive energy.”

(Frédéric Gros – A Philosophy of Walking)

Through these new paintings,  Anna hopes to bring you the profound peacefulness and the space to dream that she have found in our world.

She is exhibiting forty oils on canvas.

Anna will be at the Link Gallery on Wednesday 3rd, Friday 5th and Saturday 6th November from 11 am to 2pm or by appointment (please email
