Game On! A Short History of Games
1pm to 2pm
Beat lunchtime board-om and explore the history of games and why we play them in this ‘Lunchtime Learning’ talk with our Education Officer, Niamh Stuttaford. Hear about historic favourites, such as ‘Nine Men's Morris’ and ‘Hnefatafl’, as well as games unique to Jersey.
Take a look at gaming items from our museum collection and put your new knowledge into practice by trying out a selection of historic replica games for yourself. Challenge your fellow JH Members and see if you have what it takes to become the lunchtime gaming champion!
Bring your lunch with you and we will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
Drop in from 1pm and be back to work by 2pm.
