Playing with Light: the story behind a hands-on exhibition

Our newest exhibition at Jersey Museum is packed full of fun and interactive exhibits for visitors to enjoy while they are discovering the science of light and the fascinating ways that ‘light’ has played its part in Jersey’s story.

Exhibitions Curator Lucy Layton shares the process of how she turned her idea for the exhibition into a series of displays, from the initial research to choosing objects and images from the collections to bring to life the stories. She’ll also share how the skills of different team members helped to make the vision of the new interactive exhibition a reality.

Her short, illustrated talk will be followed by an opportunity to view the new exhibition and have a go at pushing buttons and pulling levers!

Bring your lunch with you and we will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.

Drop in from 1pm and be back to work by 2pm.
