La Hougue Bie

Family Day: Daffodils
Saturday, 21 March, 10am – 3pm at La Hougue Bie

Celebrate spring’s daffodil blooms with a fun ‘Family Day’ at La Hougue Bie! Wander up the mound to admire a sea of golden flowers, enjoy spring-themed face painting, and follow a cheerful daffodil trail. Be inspired by a local artist at work, then dive into colourful spring crafts. Little ones can explore sensory petals, nature play trays and mini pot planting fun. It’s a blooming wonderful day out for the whole family! All children must be accompanied by a helpful adult.
Usual entry fees apply. Free to Jersey Heritage Members and children under six.

Family Day: Victorian Seaside

Saturday, 27 June, 10am – 4pm at Elizabeth Castle

Step back in time for a Victorian seaside-themed ‘Family Day’ at Elizabeth Castle! Enjoy the bandstand buzz, seaside activities with sandpits and water trays, puppet shows, and a playful ball pool with vintage bathing suits. Join our ‘Victorian’ Geopark Guide for a rock pool s’traû and Deep Time Walk at the Secret Beach, then try classic Victorian games and explore the Military Hospital, brought to life by our costumed Living History characters. A timeless day of coastal fun for all. All children must be accompanied by a helpful adult.

Family Day: Harvest
Saturday, 19 September, 10am – 4pm at Hamptonne

Join us for an autumnal harvest-themed ‘Family Day’ at Hamptonne! Meet local farmers and growers who feature in the ‘Field to Fork’ exhibition, enjoy hands-on activities with the Jersey Heritage Education team, cosy tales from our Bouonnefemme and dive into bountiful harvest crafts. Have a go at pumpkin bowling, race through a scarecrow relay, and try apple bobbling (dangling from strings!). Explore haystack hunts and a meadow harvest trail, with hay bales and tractor rides for little ones. Bring along a donation for our harvest food collection and join in fun, friendly competitions throughout the day. All children must be accompanied by a helpful adult.

Family Day: Christmas Crafts

Saturday, 12 December, 10am – 4pm at Jersey Museum

Kick off the festive season with our Christmas-themed ‘Family Day’ at Jersey Museum! Create beautiful cards, decorations and handmade gifts to celebrate this special time of year. Wander through the ‘Playing with Light’ trail and soak up the festive atmosphere. Join in with joyful carol singing and settle down to watch a heart‑warming family film, complete with popcorn and guaranteed to bring smiles all round. Don’t miss this magical day of creativity, crafts and Christmas cheer. All children must be accompanied by a helpful adult.
