Bring your imagination to Hamptonne this week and help artist Kelly Eastwood to transform the music marquee for our annual Cider Festival in October into an apple orchard wonderland! Think colourful apples, leaves and beautiful branches on banners that visitors to ‘La Faîs’sie d’Cidre’ will be able to appreciate for years to come.

Wild Play Days

La Hougue Bie / 4-7 August

Wild Play Days are perfect for connecting with each other and experiencing nature through crafts, skill learning and free play. All sessions will be led and supported by naturalist Stephen Le Quesne – explore, discover, create and breathe under a canopy of trees at La Hougue Bie. Activities will vary daily but themes will include dens and ropes, wood and whittling, natural crafts and the living world.

Completely Graffiti

Elizabeth Castle / 11-14 August

Head to Elizabeth Castle for a hands-on community art event like no other with inspirational graffiti artist Stephen Lamb. Whether you’re picking up a spray can for the first time or already know your way around a wall, you’ll be guided through the basics whilst contributing to a giant collaborative mural. With years of experience working with schools and youth groups, and in community spaces, Stephen’s passion for graffiti as an expressive and inclusive art form is truly infectious.

Animation & Sound Station

Jersey Museum / 18-21 August

FREE ENTRY

Explore your wildest ideas and let your imagination run free as you play with sound and images to make something totally surreal and original! Create your own surrealist collage animation with sound at Jersey Museum, with the help of artists Karen Le Roy Harris and Esther Rose Parkes. They will turn your creation into a short film for everyone to watch in the Museum’s AV Theatre. No experience needed, just come ready to experiment and have fun.

August Creative Castle

Elizabeth Castle / 25-28 August

Join artist Katrin Mountain for a fun and hands-on flag-making workshop for all ages at Elizabeth Castle! Inspired by her vibrant flag installation, ‘Blowing Against The Wind’, you’ll explore the Castle’s rich history through stories, symbols, and myths, and then help to design and create brand-new flags to be installed as part of the display. Follow the colourful trail from the Castle’s entrance to the Hermitage and add your own voice to this evolving installation!
