Being part of the Georgian militia required a wide array of skills, including marksmanship, artillery operation, tactical knowledge, and fortification maintenance. It was a demanding job, with a focus on discipline, teamwork and readiness for combat. The artillery was a critical aspect of defending the Castle, requiring soldiers to be skilled in its use for both defense and offence during periods of conflict.
Witness the thrilling fire of the musket, daily drills and learn how uniforms played an important role. Understand the living conditions of life in the barracks, including the food they ate and what it was like living “up close and personal” with your fellow militiamen.
