Ad-hoc Catering Team Member – Weekdays/Part time
Locations: La Hougue Bie & Elizabeth Castle
Hours: Ad‑hoc, weekday shifts between 9.30/10am–2pm (school‑term‑time option available)
Salary: £13.75 per hour plus 6% holiday pay

What You’ll Be Doing
- Serving customers with a smile and creating a positive café experience
- Preparing hot drinks and simple food to our quality and safety standards
- Taking orders, using the till, and cashing up
- Keeping displays stocked and fresh
- Maintaining a clean, inviting café space
- Supporting the smooth running of the kitchen and daily checklists
What We’re Looking For

Job Title: Catering Team Member

Purpose of Role:
We are looking for someone who has some experience of working in a catering environment to work as part of a small team providing a friendly and professional service to visitors to the café and site.
Working hours:
- Working hours are between 9.30 / 10am and 2pm, on weekdays, this could possibly be school term time only for the right candidate. Specific shift times vary depending on team size, location and time of year.
Main Responsibilities and Key Result Areas:
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Ensure that the preparation and service of food is in line with our Food Safety program and to the required recipe and presentation standards
- Preparation of hot drinks
- Taking orders and processing them through the till
- Cashing up tills at the end of each shift
- Placing orders for food, drinks and packaging with suppliers as required, ensuring the correct stock levels are maintained
- Ensure fridges and display areas are stocked up, following the stock rotation policy
- Clearing, cleaning and setting up customer tables
- Ensure the kitchen management plan is followed and completed on a daily basis, highlighting any issues immediately to the Group Café Manager.
