Seaside Fest Sensory Play

Join us at Elizabeth Castle for a relaxed, beach-inspired sensory play session designed especially for our young explorers.

Hosted by our Education team and Members’ Events Curator Carmella Knight, this drop-in event brings the feel of a seaside holiday into a safe, creative play space. Little ones can build, splash and use their imagination through a variety of hands-on activities.

Suitable for children aged 3–5 years. Activities include:
•Beach-themed small world play
•Hook-a-duck
•Fishing game (water play)
•Ice cream playdough parlour
•Sand tray play
•Ball pool sorting activity
•Castle building blocks
•Story corner

Puppet Show Highlight
At 2pm, enjoy a special performance of ‘Crows of Corbière’ by our brilliant Education team. The puppet show follows a seaside adventure out to Corbière Lighthouse, bringing to life beach awareness in a way that young children will love.

Children must be accompanied by a JH Member. One adult per two children.

Location: Sensory Play will take place on the Green at Elizabeth Castle, a short walk from the Castle entrance.
PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to travel on the ferry (walking available from 1.15pm), please arrive early at the Castle Kiosk to purchase your discounted £2.50 return ticket. Children under 6 travel FREE on the Castle Ferry.
