This is the moment when Force 135 came to the Island, tasked with the monumental job of returning Jersey to civilian life, demilitarising the Island, and beginning the rebuilding process after years of wartime hardship.

The Force 135 Living History Group is made up of passionate and knowledgeable individuals, who bring to life this pivotal moment in the Island’s history. These dedicated re-enactors recreate the poignant time of Jersey's Liberation, offering a unique immersive experience for you to witness history firsthand.

Through authentic military equipment and uniforms, they provide an accurate portrayal of the soldiers and civilians involved in this crucial phase of the Island’s recovery, including the removal of enemy ordinance, in particular German mines, to make it safe for civilian life to resume.

Join the lads of Force 135 and immerse yourself in the lives of those who lived through this challenging time. Hear the echoes of history come alive as they share stories of what it was like to be part of the Liberation effort, and the complex and emotional tasks they faced as they worked to rebuild a broken island.
