Enjoy a four-day break in Jersey, staying in unique accommodation at Elizabeth Castle and discovering an Island packed full of heritage and natural beauty.

Day One: Thursday, 24 September

Arrival and Uncovering the Secrets of Elizabeth Castle

Settle into your fabulous accommodation and enjoy a tour of Elizabeth Castle to familiarise yourself with your home for the next few days.

Join your Blue Badge Guide on a journey of discovery around the 16th century Castle, which has defended the Island for more than 300 years. Peel back the layers of Jersey’s history, climb battlements dating back to the 1590s, explore the turrets and bunkers and visit the Hermitage where Saint Helier, the Patron Saint of Jersey’s capital, is thought to have lived around 550 AD.

Please note: the surfaces are uneven. Sensible footwear is recommended.

Day Two:  Friday, 25 September

A full day Island Panoramic Tour – On the Occupation Trail

Get your bearings on this beautiful Island with an entertaining tour of the west of Jersey and lunch at Portelet Bay Inn.

Visiting:

  • Corbière Lighthouse
  • Strongpoint Corbière
  • St Brelade’s Bay, Fisherman’s Chapel and 10th century-church
  • Noirmont Point – bunker visit
  • Jersey War Tunnels.

Day Three: Saturday, 26 September

A St Helier Adventure

Catch the first ferry ashore from Elizabeth Castle and enjoy a guided tour around historic St Helier, the Island’s capital.

Visiting:

  • Liberation Square
  • The Victorian House
  • Town Church
  • Royal Square
  • French Lane
  • Victorian markets.

Enjoy a light lunch in Town and then an afternoon at leisure.

In the evening, an hour-long immersive experience will take you back to 9 May 1945 and the moment Jersey was freed from Occupation at the end of the Second World War. Join re-enactors with authentic equipment and powerful stories of the soldiers who restored freedom to the Island.

Day Four: Sunday, 27 September

A full day Eastern Adventure

Catch the first ferry ashore from Elizabeth Castle and enjoy a tour of the east of the Island.

Visiting:

  • La Hougue Bie, a 6,000-year-old dolmen and a record-breaking coin hoard
  • Gorey Village, with lunch overlooking the seafront
  • Magnificent Mont Orgueil Castle.

Please note: the surfaces in Mont Orgueil are uneven and there are many steps. Sensible footwear is recommended.

Day Five: Monday, 28 September

Time to Say Goodbye – Departure Transfer

After your Jersey adventure, you’ll be collected for your transfer to the Airport or Ferry Terminal for your return journey home.

Sole occupancy £900 per person

Double occupancy £700 per person

Pricing includes:

  • Accommodation for four nights at the Elizabeth Castle Retreat
  • Transport to all scheduled activities included in the itinerary, for the duration of your stay
  • Castle Ferry travel to and from Elizabeth Castle for the duration of your stay
  • Light lunch at La Hougue Bie on 27 September
  • Tour guide
  • Access to all visitor sites detailed in the itinerary.

What is not included:

  • Airport / ferry transfers before and after your booking
  • Any food or drink, with the exception of lunch at La Hougue Bie on 27 This is a self-catering holiday.

If you’re planning to visit Jersey from outside the UK, you’ll need a passport with you to soak up the island vibes.
