Access statement for Jersey Museum & Art Gallery and Victorian House

We have created this accessibility guide to accurately describe the facilities and services we offer all our visitors. It does not contain personal opinions as to the sites’ suitability for those with access needs.

Museum

  • The floor surfaces throughout the museum are a mixture of tile and wood. The Ouless Room has a medium pile carpet.
  • We have a set of evacuation procedures
  • Wheelchair loan is available free of charge on request at reception.
  • Bags and coats can be stored, please ask on arrival.

Shop

  • The shop is situated on the ground floor and has flat level access from the main foyer of the museum.

Grounds and Gardens

  • There is an outside terrace leading from the museum archway up to the main entrance. The pathways are concrete bricked with a small gradual incline as you proceed towards the main entrance.

Catering

  • The café is situated on the ground floor and has step-free level access from the foyer and from the outside entrance there is a slight incline from the terrace area.
  • Table service provided.
