It's apple season and our favourite time of year at Jersey Heritage. The orchard at Hamptonne Country Life Museum is fragrant with the smell of apples and looks beautiful in the autumn light. We are preparing for La Faîs’sie d’Cidre, our cider making festival, and over the coming weeks we'll be collecting all the apples to use in the cider making process. Join us for an apple picking session in the Hamptonne orchard. It's a great way to learn more about the tradition of cider making, get out in the autumn sunshine and take part in this traditional community activity of picking the apples used to make the Hamptonne Cider this year.

Apple picking sessions take place over the first two weekends of October. They are free of charge but places are limited and you'll need to book a place for everyone over the age of 12.  Book here.

Who knows, maybe apple picking this year will inspire you to become one of our cider making volunteers!

Thank you to Ogier for supporting the Apple Picking and Cider Festival this year.
