Volumes that are cared for by Jersey Archive often come to us with detached covers and pages and weak bindings after years of use. These books contain many fascinating stories for researchers to discover but they can only be used after conservation treatment has taken place.
Hospital admission books give us a fascinating insight into the afflictions of our ancestors and the history of disease in the Island. Help us reveal the past by adopting this Jersey General Hospital Admission Register, 1908 - 1914.
The hospital also acted as the Island’s poor house in the 19th and early 20th centuries and the records help us tell the story of those who had fallen on hard times. Code D/AN/B11/6
