Edmund Blampied captured the Jersey way of life and the spirit of the Island. Jersey Heritage recently bought eight sketchbooks of Blampied drawings of people at work and play, animals, holidays and landscapes. Some of the sketches are showing their age and have become discoloured by staining and foxing. In order to show them in the very best way, they need to be cleaned and restored by a professional paper restorer. Would you adopt a sketchbook and help look after Blampied’s legacy? The sketchbooks are currently on display and would be available to restore in May 2017.
