You may have seen reports in the media that, mainly because of changes in the tourist industry, we are having to think about closing certain sites and cutting back on some services. I would like to assure you that your contribution is helping; with your help we’ve raised much more money from our commercial activities than in the past.
But there is much more to Jersey Heritage than our sites and attractions. We are an important public service, supporting local education and giving free access to thousands of local schoolchildren and seniors. We involve thousands of people in the community in our work. We provide heritage services to the States, looking after important public collections of art and archaeology, historic buildings and archives. And we can’t keep going without further support from our funders.
How you can help
We recognise that there are very many deserving calls on public funding. We understand that there are difficult choices to make. This is an issue for the whole community, not just for politicians. So if you feel able to, please give your support to our funders, the Department for Education, Sport and Culture in deciding to fund our important heritage service.
