Saints and Sliver, Elizabeth Castle, 10 to 11 September

Discover the home of St Helier and what he was doing on a rock in St Aubin’s bay. Find out more about the first people who lived in Elizabeth Castle and the fascinating people who have stayed there – from a saint and soldiers, to nurses, surgeons and Germans. Discover the amazing war trophies and militia silver from the troops that have been garrisoned there and why they have pieces of silver as decoration from 10am to 4pm.

 

Land Ahoy,Maritime Museum, 8 to 9 October

Discover new worlds and learn about some famous explorers who discovered new places. Find out about maps and map reading, put on your captain’s hat and make a map or a globe; then discover a brand new country and name it after yourself from 10am to 4pm.

 

Curiosities and Collections, Jersey Museum, 12 to 13 November

Discover the secrets of storytelling and learn how to create tales that capture the imagination. Have a go at designing your own museum. What would you put in it and how would you tell the story of your museum? Design your very own museum exhibition and have a go at explaining its story.
