L’Etacquerel Fort

Situated along a steep coastal path, access is across the dry moat on a high wooden bridge. This property offers complete peace and quiet, ideal for families or get-togethers with friends.

L’Etacquerel Fort was built in the mid 18th century on a cliff side on the north coast of Jersey. There are stunning views over Bouley Bay.

The property has space for 60 people (inside and outside) but local regulations allow a maximum of 30 people to sleep in the main guardhouse overnight.

This back to basics coastal tower property has tables and benches in the guardhouse where there is also a large fireplace (logs are provided). A fixed BBQ is found outside. This  accommodation is not connected to any utilities, however there are composting toilets. Local regulations insist that there should be no tents erected on site.

Can accommodate 30 overnight guests in sleeping bags in the guardhouse, and up to 60 guests in daylight hours.

Guests must bring their own sleeping bags. A sign informing the public that the fort is in use should be fixed on the bridge during your stay. Please do not use disposable BBQs and do not light fires in the grounds (use fireplace only). All rubbish should be cleared from the fort on your departure. Please do not leave rubbish in the car park as there is no collection service from this remote location.
