Conservation

All interventive work conforms to the highest standards of conservation practice using the best quality materials.  There is a presumption against extensive restoration of items in the collection and in most cases only the minimum amount of action necessary to conserve the item will be applied.  Where heavy restoration is required, interpretation should reveal the extent of the work.
